Nestled in the heart of our neighborhood, New Song Church stands as a welcoming community of faith where you can truly feel at home. Though we are a medium-sized congregation, our three intimate worshiping communities foster a deep sense of connection and care among our members. With a strong emphasis on personal growth and discipleship, we offer a variety of opportunities to delve into God's Word and engage in the mission of the church through our community ministries.
Founded in 2003 by our visionary pastor, David Poling-Goldenne, New Song emerged during the development of the Anthem section of Henderson. With a heart for outreach, Pastor David knocked on doors throughout the community, rallying an enthusiastic team of leaders committed to spreading the Gospel and establishing the church. Our inaugural worship service was held in the ballroom of Sun City's Anthem Center, marking the beginning of a vibrant journey.
As our congregation flourished, we soon broke ground on our current location at 1291 Cornet Street, which opened its doors in 2006. Our vision extended beyond worship; we sought to create an educational center, leading to the establishment of New Song Christian Academy. This institution provides a nurturing environment for preschool students to learn and grow. During this period of expansion, our community thrived, prompting the calling of a second pastor—Pastor Marta Poling-Goldenne, the beloved wife of Pastor Dave. Within a decade, our membership swelled to over 700.
In 2014, our community faced a profound challenge when Pastor David was diagnosed with mesothelioma. In a show of unwavering support, Pastor Marta resigned to care for her husband, who returned to the Lord in December of that year, ushering in a time of transition for the church.
The year 2016 marked a new beginning as Pastor Paul Block was called from New York City to shepherd New Song. With the generous support of our congregation, we embarked on the construction of an annex for the Academy, significantly increasing our enrollment. We have since cultivated numerous service opportunities with local organizations, ensuring our commitment to community engagement. Even amidst the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, we have continued to proclaim the Gospel both in person and online. Our renewed focus on evangelistic outreach has kept our doors open, and we warmly invite you to join us in fulfilling God’s mission here at New Song!
